Basic real estate inspections includes; inspection of the exterior and interior for safety and functionality.  Inspect the attic for insulation levels and condition and safety concerns. Visually check the water heater, HVAC system.  Inspect the basement or crawlspace for safety concerns.  I'll also make recommendations on possible energy saving ideas.  

A home energy audit is a more detailed inspection of a house, it will identify the thermal boundary and the air barrier and make sure they are aligned.  Conduct a Combustion Appliance Zone test to see if fossil fuel appliances are drafting correctly and a blower  door test to see how much air is moving through the house.  We would then make energy saving recommendations to make your house more comfortable and more durable and most importantly have better indoor air quality.
